Are You Squat Proof?

Squats. We've all heard of them. Some of us claim they are God sent. Some of us hate dropping into the movement.


Guess what, guys? Squats are a great thing...when done right!

Granted I am not the most experienced trainer or fitness freak...I do have enough knowledge to be able to stand for the famous squat.


Squats are a natural movement pattern that humans do. They are considered a compound movement (a movement that requires multiple joints to work.) Most people can look at a someone doing a bodyweight squat and assume it's easy. Reality? Not always!


In today's world we tend to sit majority of the day. People on average live sedentary lives. And many are incredibly tight in joints and muscles. This all leads to imbalances in movements...which is where squats cause people to think they are bad! Instead if someone has good movement patterns and does a set of squats, the knees, back, and hips are good to go.


If you want to do a great movement that can really change your body for the better (when done right) pick the squat! Focus on improving mobility, gaining balance, and start working into squats! Next thing you know, you'll be a pro. Plus you'll feel like a badass squating. :)


This week I went ahead and put together a video on squat proof leggings...we all want to look cute and not be showing our lovely bootys to the world. This way if you want to get a rockin workout outfit started for your gym goings...you have an idea on what leggings are quality!
