Washing clothes is one of those things you have to do or else it never gets better. I for one am as efficient as possible. Maybe a white load and then all other colors. For leggings though...I do my best to take care of them. I tend of get attached to good pairs of leggings and after all I spend on them, yeah. I’m gonna take care of them!

Here is a simple, not by hand, sure fire way to make sure your leggings last!

Turn leggings inside out. This helps avoid pilling.

*optional* Use a mesh bag. Placing the leggings in a mesh bag avoids stretching out the leggings and protecting them getting snagged on anything else.

Use less detergent!

Crazy simple but avoiding all those chemicals let’s the leggings stay strong and new. To follow up with that, don’t use fabric softener.

Wash in cold water. This keeps the leggings from shrinking!

Don’t use dryer. Guys, if there’s one tip to take away from this post...don’t put your leggings in the dryer to dry. It can ruin them. At the least it makes them pill. So what do you do? Hang them up! Have an air dryer set up. There are ways I promise.

Bonus tip: Don’t wash with lots of cotton. The fabrics of leggings and cotton can touch and end up snagging the legging material. We don’t want that, so if possible try to avoid too many cottons. If not, just don’t use the dryer. :) Cheers,

Amelia
