Zero-Effort Outfits: How to Be Stressed and Look Cute Doing It

Katelynn here! I am a certified queen of getting ready to leave the house in 10 minutes or less. How do I do this? I don't wear makeup for one. I also have go-to styles that I can throw on without any thought while rushing out the door. These are my best. They're all comfy and easy - no tugging required!

#1: Flowy shirt and jeans

Flowy shirts always give off a put-together, cute vibe. Pairing them with jeans and a necklace is a look that screams “I have my shit together” when you, in reality, do not have your shit together. I always opt for my comfiest booties when I wear this style. Ponytail = easiest hairstyle. For me and many others, this look (if I don't have holes in my jeans) is perfectly acceptable for work as well!

#2: Oversized t-shirt, flannel, and leggings

My favorite thing to wear in the fall is my flannels. They can act as a cute accessory around the waist or be worn as a shirt or jacket. Throwing one over a t-shirt and leggings is an easy way to pull a look together. I usually go for my Chucks or combat boots – both giving all day comfort! And, if your hair is dirty, beanies always go with flannels. Don’t have a beanie? Rock a messy bun!

#3: T-shirt dress

This is the comfiest dress I own. T-shirt dresses are super easy to dress up or down, and no matter how you wear it, no one will think you're pulling your hair out if you got up and put a dress on today. I opted for a long necklace here, but chokers or multiple necklaces also look great! The best thing about t-shirt dresses is they don’t require dressy shoes. I always wear my Converse or Vans. Pretty much any hairstyle is fitting as well.

#4: Patterned leggings and a jean jacket

THIS IS NOT AN AD but LuLaRoe leggings are, like, my favorite kind of leggings because if you’re like me and don’t keep your legs shaved during the colder months (or just in general), they don’t uncomfortably tug on your leg hairs. A solid-color shirt can either be worn out or tucked in, and a jean jacket on top gives you a cool, artsy vibe. Any casual shoes and any casual hairstyle works with this look.

#5: Bright sweater and jeans

Loud sweaters don’t usually need accessories, so they’re easy to throw on over a pair of jeans. Any sort of booties or boots go well with a sweater, but usually a darker, plain color looks best when the sweater has a lot going on. I opted for a beanie here (because I love beanies) but you can wear your hair any way you want, and it will look like you definitely didn't throw your clothes on in a rush to get out the door.

Tell me about some of your in-a-rush looks in the comments - good and bad!
