10 Reasons Fall is a Girl's Best Friend

Oh Fall… The leaves are changing, the weather is getting to that perfect not-too-hot-not-too-cold temperature, and Halloween is right around the corner.

Sadly, for us in Georgia, the seasons take their sweet time to change. The first day of Fall, officially, was yesterday, and we are still seeing high temperatures in the 90s.

It’s a fun time, let us tell you.

But regardless, we can still start loving everything we do about Fall. We just have to do it shorts. To kick off Fall week (and the launch of our website), here are some of our favorite things about Fall:

1. Cooler weather. Let us reiterate; this is Georgia. Summers are quite brutal, so the change in weather gives us a well-deserved break.

2. Cute. Clothes. FINALLY we can break out our scarves and boots and flannels and sweaters. Is it weird that we miss wearing jeans?

3. We don’t have to shave as often. Long pants means no one’s gonna be seeing all those hairs that seem to immediately protrude again. Buh bye razors.

4. Football season. Again, this is the south. Football is, like, in our blood. Whether you like #GoDawgs or #RollTide, it’s time to see the boys in action.

5. Fall scents. Pumpkin spice might be taking over all desserts for the next few months, but we can still enjoy the cinnamon and woodsy scents that Bath and Body Works brings out.

6. Holidays. Two of the (arguably) best holidays are coming up: Halloween and Thanksgiving. Not to mention Christmas being right around the corner…

7. Season shows kick back up. Most television shows start their next season at the beginning of Fall. What’s more exciting, American Horror Story or How to Get Away with Murder?

8. Fall activities. Going to a pumpkin patch, apple picking, Fall festivals, corn mazes, bonfires – it’s all so much fun!

9. Desserts. And no, we don’t mean pumpkin everything. In fact, apples and cinnamon are very versatile. You can turn pretty much any kind of dessert into a fall version by adding one or the other, or even both.

10. It’s a great time to start new projects like this one. We here at The Dynamic Damsel are ready for a great semester while starting a website, and we’re excited to kick it off at the beginning of Fall. Welcome to our humble beginning!
